The spirit of the islands
The Kona Coast, the home of ancient Hawai`ian royalty, is the location for a 1,550-acre slice of
paradise called Hokuli`a. Positioned on the leeward side of the Island of Hawai`i, Hokuli`a offers
some of the best weather conditions on the islands—a unique micro-climate with sunshine and
gentle coastal breezes that allow Members to experience the leisurely grace of Hawai`ian lifestyle
to its fullest. It’s the perfect environment for outdoor living, golf, and water pursuits.
When he first acquired the land for Hokuli`a in 1985, Lyle Anderson envisioned one of the world’s
great golf experiences. Now Members enjoy a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course that’s tailored
to the island landscape and at the heart of “One of the World’s Best Golf Communities,” according
to The Robb Report.
The striking panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean hint at the many amenities of living on the
Kona Coast. Membership at Hokuli`a means access to water sports such as snorkeling, deep-sea
fishing, and boating. The Club at Hokuli`a also features spectacular dining accented by island
traditions. And development is under way for future amenities such as the Golf Clubhouse and
Ocean Club.
Hokuli`a, which means “star of desire,” is measuring up to its name. |
