Modern treasure in an ancient land
Lyle Anderson’s first venture outside the United States, Loch Lomond in Scotland has quickly gained a reputation as one of the world’s most exclusive international clubs. Members enjoy two renowned golf courses, as well as a choice of outdoor pursuits—boating and fishing on the Loch, trekking in the nearby Scottish Highlands, and shooting sports such as archery and gamebird hunting.
Loch Lomond’s parkland course, designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish, opened in 1994 and is now home to The Barclays Scottish Open. Recently, the Loch Lomond course was also ranked by Golf Digest as No. 11 among the Best Courses Oustide the United States, while the Club’s Dundonald Links course designed by Kyle Phillips —a links layout located on the coast near Troon—has been called one of the best courses in the world by The Robb Report. A third golf option, a heathland-style course designed by Jack Nicklaus, is now in the planning stages.
While located just about 30 minutes northwest of Glasgow, Loch Lomond is surrounded by breathtaking wilds and the pristine waters of the legendary Loch. The Clubhouse is located in the restored 18th-century Rossdhu House; the historic grounds feature the luxurious Spa in the Walled Garden, as well as guest cottages, exquisite dining, and more.
Membership, which includes representation from over 30 countries, is extended by invitation. |
